They also have outdoor seating.

The coffee is opposite the order counter and is self-serve.

I've been in the restaurant many times and it's great in every way...so, thought I'd try the home delivery. Not the same. I was disappointed. The food tasted good, but I had bought this for company too and was embarrassed. The meat and all the fixings were just piled in the middle of the bread on the sandwiches meaning you only got bread until you get to the middle and the salads were not cut up very well at all....stems on everything. The side bread and pastry were all stale. I'd been bragging about Panera and I sort of had egg on my face. Guess I will stick with in the restaurant when I can get there.

The St. Louis Bread Co. in Alton, IL is nice chain restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I love their breakfast sandwiches and their pastries. Recently had their quiches and they are pretty good too.

The St. Louis Bread Co. is part of the Panera chain.

Upon entering, there's a pleasant display of foods (a lot of pastries!) at and near the order counter.

You order at the counter and, at least during our breakfast visit, the food and coffee cups were placed on a tray and away you go to find a table.

Had a pick 2, 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and a bowl of French onion soup, with chai tea. The soup tasted good but was a little disappointed that the cheese didn't really melt. What I really found disgusting was the gristle I bit into in my sandwich...twice. Yuck! The food is usually good but not this time.

It's location on the corner in a strip shopping shopping center is easy to access and there's ample parking.

Love this place! I love the food and the employees are always so sweet and friendly! This is a great place to go to sit down and eat or just go through the drive-thru real quick!

A number of tables needed cleaned/wiped down including the one we sat at. We took care of that ourselves. We also adjusted the blinds as the sun was glaring through. After that, we had a pleasant, though pricey for what it was, experience

My Mother and Sister enjoyed their cherry danish and cinnamon roll respectively. I had a spinach and artichoke soufflé which was quite good.
