If you look a certain way they assume you want drugs and are there seeking just that..I have alot of tattoos and piercing, I was treated poorly. I asked for little from the staff even though I was in severe pain. I had appendicitis and had to get surgery. The doctor who did the surgery treated me like garbage as well. It is sad that the world is so full of drug addicts now that when someone is in real pain nobody will help. Not to mention the worlds become so judgemental it is a shame. I don't even smoke cigarettes and can't even be treated decent. I'm an organ donor for god sakes.
Just awful nurses and doctors. The other patients and staff will bring you comfort way way way! Before any doctor or its helper and just the rudest people . if you go to they ER you'll be rushed out in good health and understanding or not. So not go here if you love your life and money.
Went in for severe teeth pain..They never offered to relieve my pain at all and when I asked for something they said to fill my prescription...Short not sweet and I still wanna yank these teeth out with plyers...Only reason I gave 3 stars is cuz the nurses r beautiful lol
My son is 15 months old and he had a fever of 103 temp and I was at work and got the call that he didn't feel good. I went to the alton memorial take care Center in godfrey and they didn't take my insurance and after I bundled up my sick baby for the second time I started freaking out crying. We went to the alton memorial er and was seen immediately and was treated with the utmost importance. All the nurses and nurse techs were very attentive and super nice and respectful :) it was nice to see all the smiles and friendly faces in there at my time of panic! The nurse techs name was Donna and she was my FAVORITE!! She assured me that I was doing everything correctly and that I was a good mother and that everything was going to be okay and gave me alot of knowledge on what to worry about and what was just a virus! I appreciate all of you're staff and receptions! :) thank you for you're kindness and you're time! I give you five thumbs up!
My father had a stroke a few weeks ago. They say that when you have a stroke that time is of the essence. Kudos to the Ambulance service who got him to the hospital in record time. Jeers to Alton Memorial who made his sit in a waiting room for six hours before treatment. I was born in this hospital in 1965 and have been going there for 51 years. Oddly enough, whenever I go to AMH they don't seem to know me or what medical problems I have. I now go to St. Anthony's when I have problems. I gave AMH 1 star because there is no way to give them the negative 12 stars they deserve.
